Privacy

FreshTV is run by Mount Victoria Trading Limited, a New Zealand company (“we”). We collect as little as we can, use it only to run FreshTV, and never sell it. This policy follows the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

• Your email address — to sign you in (we email you a link) and to contact you about your account.
• Your screens and what they show — screen names, the scenes and panels you set up, price lists and notices you type, and calendar links you add.
• The town or suburb you choose — turned into approximate coordinates for the weather.
• Whether each screen is on — when it last checked in and roughly how many minutes a day it was online, so we can see FreshTV is working.
• Price reservations — the email, plan, number of screens and any note you send from the pricing page.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie keeps you signed in. Screens are identified by a random code, not by anything about the device or the people near it.

Who helps us run FreshTV

• Vercel — hosts the website and app.
• DigitalOcean — stores our database, in Sydney, Australia.
• Resend — sends sign-in emails.
• WeatherAPI.com — receives approximate coordinates (never your name or email) to return the forecast.
• Metlink — receives the stop numbers you chose, to return live departures.

Calendar links you add are fetched by our servers; the calendar provider sees a request from FreshTV, not from you.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while you use FreshTV. Unpairing a screen deletes it and its records. Ask us and we'll delete your account and everything in it.

Your rights

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or to have it deleted. Email hello@freshtv.app. If you're not happy with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
